Description

Join our French-trained Pastry Chef Lisa Allen in an inspired afternoon of tart-making fun! She will guide you and your small group through a fully immersive, hands-on experience creating your own French patisseries. As Chef Lisa was previously a career educator teaching around the world, she loves sharing knowledge with people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities! Therefore she is happy to tailor any workshop to your baking level, dietary preferences, or other needs. Choose from among the classic French repertoire, or create your own hybrid tarts. Classics include: Fresh fruit tarts according to season with vanilla, chocolate, caramel or pistachio cream, several types of apple tartes, the claufoutis cherry tart, the bourdaloue (pears and almond cream), baked frangipane tarts with apricots, peaches or figs, chocolate, chocolate caramel, caramelized mixed nuts, the world-famous tart citron (lemon), classic flan, and more!

 

Bake it all from scratch in Lisa’s quaint Parisian apartment for groups up to seven people, aged 6 and up. Larger groups can be accommodated in our partner’s teaching kitchen.

 

Workshops can include a market visit to choose your own ingredients, and coffee, tea or hot chocolate to get your hands going!
